What To Expect

WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

BSSNY nurse letting patients know what to expect

Experience the expertise of our world-renowned surgeons combined with the personal attention of private-practice physicians and the support of a caring and responsive staff.

At Brain and Spine Surgeons of New York, we will do everything we can to help you overcome your pain and live your life to the fullest. Our process is simple. We will conduct a thorough examination, using the most advanced tools at our disposal. Then we will sit and talk with you. We will give you our expert diagnosis, explaining in detail what we can do, and discussing all possible options. We will take the time to listen to your concerns and answer your questions.

One of our surgeons will be your primary surgeon, but you also will benefit from the collective knowledge and experience within our practice. We are a group of 26 board-certified physicians in the areas of neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and plastic surgery. We frequently consult among ourselves to confirm we have developed the best possible treatment plan.  Also, on the day of surgery, two of us are typically present in the operating room. We’ve worked together hundreds of times, and that experience is a significant factor in achieving successful outcomes.

Our goal is to minimize discomfort and speed recovery by using advanced surgical techniques such as Gamma Knife Surgery to treat brain disorders without incisions, or stereotactic image-guided surgery, which uses advanced computer technology to locate tumors within the brain and create a three-dimensional image of it in real-time.

Our caring staff will schedule the surgery, provide complete pre- and post-operative instructions, and answer any questions you might have. As you recuperate, we will check on your progress.
